6 Ways To Make Your Wedding More Enjoyable, Stress Free & One To Remember!

Planning a wedding is exciting, fun and overwhelming all in one! Most of us have not organised a wedding before our own, so it’s fair to say that however much we pay attention to all of the details, there are likely to be some things that we overlook or perhaps don’t see the value in… until the day! After being a part of some beautiful celebrations, I get to see firsthand what really makes a wedding day run smoothly, and what it is that creates a vibrant energy in the room.

Here are a few of my favourite tips to help you have a day that’s not only stunning, but stress-free and fun for all -

  1. Hire a Wedding Day Co-ordinator

Even if you’ve planned every detail to perfection, having someone on the ground to manage the flow of the day is a total game changer. A good co-ordinator ensures everything runs smoothly, keeps suppliers on track, and handles any hiccups behind the scenes - so that you can just be present and enjoy. It also helps avoid those awkward “who’s doing what?” moments when things need to move along. In an ideal world, I’m sure we’d all hire a wedding planner to take care of everything meticulously, but if this isn’t possible, at least having someone on the day to keep things on track will relieve your stress and any awkwardness!

2. Have a Dedicated MC at Your Reception

An MC is so much more than someone just talking into a mic - they’re the energy-keeper/starter of your evening. They create flow between speeches, dinner, and dancing, keep guests engaged, and help maintain that buzzing, joyful atmosphere. Whether it’s a fun friend or a pro MC, it makes a huge difference in how the night feels.

3. Include Live Music or a DJ

Music sets the tone for everything throughout the day - from getting ready to walking down the aisle to partying on the dance floor. A live musician during the ceremony or canapés adds a beautiful, emotional touch, while a DJ knows how to read the room, interact and get everyone dancing. Whether it’s acoustic or high-energy crowd-pleasers, good music lifts the whole vibe.

4. Personalise Your Vows

Essentially your wedding day is all about the love between you and your partner, it is personal, and this is your moment. Don’t be afraid to make it truly yours. Writing personal vows brings intimacy and emotion to the ceremony, it is heartfelt and makes your wedding truly about you as a couple. It’s often the most special moment of the day (and yes, it usually brings the tears flowing!). Funny, heartfelt, romantic - whatever feels like you, just make it your own.

5. Pay Attention To Your Table Decor

It might seem small or irrelevant in the scheme of things, but thoughtful table styling adds a beautiful ambience to your reception space. Candles, linen, florals, place cards or anything else you can think of to style it up - these little details bring the room to life and make your guests feel truly special. Plus, they make your photos look next level.

6. Capture Your Memories with an Amazing Media Team

You’ll spend months planning this day - but the memories? They will last a lifetime. Choosing your media team wisely and hiring professional, experienced photographers, videographers and/or content creators is a worthwhile investment - think crisp sound, no shaky footage, correct colours and great shot composition - all capture a unique perspective of your day and provide you with a different style of content. From getting your hair and makeup done with your nearest and dearest to the emotional first look to the wild dance floor moves, you’ll be so grateful that you can relive it all again and again.

Your wedding is your story - make sure it's captured beautifully, enjoyed, and remembered forever.
